• The protection and defense of the general interests of the associated companies.
• The promotion, dissemination, and improvement of plant production.
• It assumes the representation and defense of the general interests of its associates before the public administration or any other individual, whether physical or legal, public or private.
• The promotion and encouragement of studies, publications, competitions, and exhibitions, all aimed at favoring the development of the sector.

The Association has, as its highest governing body, the General Assembly, composed of all its members, currently directed by the following Board of Directors:

• Technical advice through the Plant Defense Group (ADV in spanish) of the Association itself Includes: information on Plant Health, advice on Integrated Pest Management, regular technician visits to farms, phytopathological and water analysis services, nutrient solutions and substrates, and recommendations on crop management.
• Inclusion in the Directory of Nurseries of the Province of Tarragona, published annually.
• Inclusion on the websites www.viveristesdetarragona.com and www.viveristes.cat
• Management of joint participation in international fairs and processing of the corresponding subsidies.
• Distribution of catalogs at the main sector fairs where the Federation of Nurseries of Catalonia exhibits: IPM Essen (Germany), Iberflora (Valencia).
• Support in the procedures of the farms with the Administration: Official Registry of Suppliers of Plant Material, Official Registry of Agricultural Machinery, Request for Aid, Request for Authorization of Inspections at origin for exportation to,third countries…
• Possibility to participate in all actions and activities organized by both the Association and the Federation of Nurseries of Catalonia: technical visits, courses, informative sessions, trips, commercial missions.
• There are collaboration agreements with: labor, legal, fiscal, and accounting advisory services, specialized insurance agents in the agricultural sector, Occupational Risk Prevention, Organic Law on Data Protection, and companies supplying irrigation equipment and agricultural measuring devices.
