The International Plant Fair IPM ESSEN has concluded another historic edition, once again demonstrating its ability to overcome obstacles and attract a global audience of horticulture professionals. Despite a nationwide rail strike, around 36,000 trade visitors gathered at the Essen Trade Fair from January 23 to 26, 2024. This event, considered the world summit of horticultural trade, served as a meeting point for the exploration of innovations in plants, technology, floristry, and equipment, presented by 1,403 exhibiting companies from 43 countries.
The 40th edition of IPM ESSEN was distinguished by the high quality of its professional audience, which showed significant interest in climate-resilient plants, biodiversity promoters, and the latest innovations for efficient resource production. This year, in particular, there was a notable increase in the internationality of visitors, highlighting the global reach and relevance of this event for the horticultural industry worldwide.
In this context of success and achievement, the Federation of Nurseries of Catalonia sincerely thanks all the anonymous visitors who approached their location at IPM ESSEN 2024: Hall 6, Stand 6A12. Their interest and participation have greatly contributed to the success of the fair, strengthening the ties between Catalan nursery owners and professionals from around the world.
Additionally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of IPM ESSEN for their hard work and dedication in planning and executing this exceptional event, which once again has proven to be an indispensable reference point for the global horticultural industry. We eagerly look forward to the next gathering at IPM ESSEN 2025, with the certainty that it will continue to be a showcase of excellence and innovation in the world of plants and horticulture.
